Sarah, a dedicated yogi and self-proclaimed clean fanatic, first created the witch hazel formula for personal use back in 2006. “After my first hot yoga class in 2006, I was completed hooked. I love the heat, in fact, the hotter the better for me, but I soon began worrying about the grime being rolled into my mat after a sweaty class. With bare feet and sweat, I knew my mat was filthy.”

Sarah wanted a naturally derived product and began researching products with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. After a few trials, Sarah’s Wicked Witch Hazel was born. “I began testing out the product each class and loved the results…and the amazing aroma! I’m big on smells too and it’s refreshing after class.”

In fact, it was the smell that caught the attention of her fellow classmates and teachers. “People really liked the aroma and after learning that it was a mat cleaner they absolutely loved the idea.” It was this enthusiasm that motivated Sarah to take it to the next level.
